Mark Knopfler no doubt is one of the most successful living musicians who he has written and recorded over 300 songs including some of the most famous in popular music. This great documentary features Mark's talking about his songs, how music defined his life, how his life and roots affected his songs. It also features some unseen photographs from his personal collection and footage of Knopfler's performances spanning from first giggs in pubs in Leeds, through years of Dire Straits success up to his tours as a solo artist. João Luiz and Douglas Lora met in São Paulo as teenage guitar students and have been performing together for more than twelve years now. As guitar duo they won the Concert Artists Guild International Competition. The Duo’s programming features both traditional, classical and Brazilian works. In the US, the Brasil Guitar Duo has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Orange County (CA) Performing Arts Center, the Classical Guitar Societies of New York, St. Louis, Dallas, among many others. Gary Moore (1952 –2011) was an exceptional guitarist, songwriter and performer. His solo records are internationally admired, likewise his work with Thin Lizzy. Belfast-born musician, rated as one of the finest guitarists of his generation wasn't interested in show business, only music. Sadly, Gary Moore passed away suddenly on February 6, 2011. 3 most reputable bass players Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten teamed up in 2008 and toured as supergroup SMV. These 3 bass guitar titans have done more in recent decades to redefine the electric bass and push the limits of its potential than any other musician alive today. On 5 July, 2009 they performed together as SMV band at Jazz a Vienne festival.
